WINTER SKIN SAVIOURS

Iit's that time of the year again when skin is looking pasty, dry and generally under the weather (well at least mine is anyway!). My eye eczema is in overdrive and my skin is feeling super dry (it's all fun being a girl ey!). So for this particular beauty post, I wanted to share with you my top Winter Skin Saviours, as our skin can always do with that extra TLC during those long Winter months!

The products I could not live without this Winter are:

DRY EYE GEL

Around this time of the year, during the harsh winter months, I unfortunately tend to develop eczema around my eyes. I have tried many creams to treat it with little success. I've always been a little reluctant to apply a corticosteroid cream, as it can thin the skin, especially around the eyes. However, one day after doing some online research, I came across this particular product from the Skin Shop. This gel is amazing and instantly cleared up my eczema within a few days - I was (happily) shocked as nothing else had previously worked. The product contains a natural active ingredient, Cardiospermum, which has helped to soothe and moisturise the skin around my eyes, as well as eliminate any signs of dry flaking skin. The gel is easily absorbed and very gentle for the eyes. Definitely 10/10! The Dry Eye Gel retails at a very reasonable £6.95 (excluding p+p).

DR ORGANIC MANUKA HONEY RESCUE CREAM

The texture of this cream is nourishing and revitalising. It's a very rich moisturiser, despite feeling thick, it is very easily absorbed by the skin without feeling oily. My previously dry skin is left feeling super hydrated, restored and silky soft. It can be applied all over the body, including the face. As an extra bonus point, the scent of the cream is gorgeous and fresh, as well as being free from nasty products and chemicals. Dr Organic Manuka Honey Rescue Cream retails at a brilliant £8.99 from Holland & Barrett.

AVEENO DAILY MOISTURISING LOTION

This particular lotion was recommended by my doctor for my eczema. It's such a lovely consistency for a moisturiser and I see/feel the benefit from using it. The lotion is easily absorbed by my skin without feeling greasy. I moisturise using Aveeno after a shower and I feel like it effectively seals in the moisture and keeps my skin hydrated throughout the day. All Aveeno lotions are naturally Oat based - now I'm not 100% sure how or why that works - but it is very effective with moisturising and hydrating skin - so I'm not complaining! Definitely worth a buy if you're prone to dry skin around this time of the year. Aveeno Daily Moisturising Lotion retails from around £7.

YU-BE MOISTURISING SKIN CREAM

Saving the best till last - now this product is Japan's no.1 selling cream! It is enriched with Vitamins and has a unique super-moisturising glycerine formula (instead of the usual petroleum-based). What I love about this cream is it can be used everywhere - face, lips, arms, legs, cuticles - like I said everywhere! Like the previous moisturisers and creams featured, this product is also non-greasy, replenishing, super hydrating and leaves my skin feeling very soft. I now know why Japanese women have such flawless skin! I can't say enough about this cream - it really is like no other product I've used before! Yu-Be Moisturising Skin Cream retails from £13.50 from Space NK.
