Although we've literally had all of four days sunshine in the UK, it's still technically 'Summer'. So I thought it would be a good time to publish a beauty post all about my current favourite Summer scents. Whether it's daytime shopping, cocktails with whoever or a nice Summer stroll (wherever you may be), ladies, it's important we're smelling good!
The scents I will be biggin' up in this post are:
- Chloe by Chloe
- DKNY Be Delicious
- Georgio Armani Si
- Victoria's Secret Weightless Body Oil
Chloe - Chloe
I first got this Chloe perfume back in 2010. Six years on and I still love it. I think it's quite an acquired smell - in the sense you either love it or hate it! It's quite musky, yet a classic (mature/youngish) smell - if that makes any sense! It's quite strong, so stays on all day. I love the bottle design, especially the ribbon around the lid. I tend to wear this perfume both during the day and night - it just depends how I'm feeling!
DKNY - Be Delicious
This is my favourite perfume out of my entire collection! I love the fresh, fruity smell! It's really citrusy and fresh (I know I have mentioned this word twice - it's because it is) - so much I can't get enough of the smell! It's definitely my everyday 'go to' fragrance that I love using during the day. I also love that the bottle is shaped like an apple!
Victoria's Secret - Weightless Body Oil (Shea)
I know this is technically not a perfume, but it smells so gorgeous, I had to include it in my list. I have never used Victoria's Secret cosmetic products prior to this, so I was a little unsure what to expect. The smell of this oil won me over - it's infused with shea butter which we all know smells amazing! The oil is literally weightless (much like its name suggests) and effortlessly melts into the skin after a shower/bath, without feeling greasy. It feels really moisturising and leaves my skin super soft and nourished. The shea butter scent smells so good! The oil is also paraben free which I am always a fan of.
Georgio Armani - Si
I quite like that this fragrance is fairly underground and not too overly popular. I was gifted this perfume and what a good gift it turned out to be. The smell is quite strong as it's real 'parfum' and one spritz literally lasts all day/night. I'd say the smell is quite the opposite of DKNY Apple - with it being quite vanilla and musky smelling, which I quite like! Personally, I prefer to wear it at night with it being so strong. It's quite a pricey fragrance from what I've seen online, so make sure you're 100% sure on the smell before buying (or hinting at someone else to buy it for you as a gift!). I have no pictures of the bottle because it's unfortunately ran out. However, I wanted to include it in the guide as it's still one of my favourites!
So if you're looking to buy a new summer scent and unsure about which one to choose, hopefully this mini guide will offer some 'scentful' insight.
