I know it's been a little while since I last published a fashion post. This has mainly been due to the recent sh*t weather we've been getting in the UK, all this Beast from the East, which has made it really difficult to get out and photograph outfits.

Anyway, with it finally being Spring (although it still really doesn't feel like it), I wanted to showcase some Spring friendly outfits. One day, there was a tiny glimpse of sun, so I was straight out with my camera to snap some outfits, before it decided to rain non-stop for another day.

For this Spring friendly outfit, I am featuring the most prettiest mini skirt. I'm not really a skirt type of gal, which is probably because of the terrible English weather making them difficult to wear (sometimes we don't always want to pair a skirt with tights!). I am quite fussy - favouring denims and midi's over any other style. I even surprised myself with this beautiful skirt choice, because it's not something I would typically go for. I feel blue doesn't get much credit in the fashion world, so I was happy to find this gorgeous skirt (and in the Topshop sale!). I love the cut and style of the skirt, which is very salsa-esque with the frilly hem and the satin type material. I prefer to wear the skirt sitting high, which the waist tie comes in handy so you can sit it as high as you want! With a skirt, it's easy to think it needs dressing up, with a typical girly/frilly cut bardot top, however, I wanted to play the top half of the outfit down and keep it Spring time cool. I opted for a cool slogan tee, which features flocked mustard yellow text - in Spanish!

I wanted to turn the bottom half of the outfit up a notch. The length of the petite mini skirt is just right on me, not cutting my legs off, so for the shoes, I chose a pair of super high orange pom pom heels which I think have set the outfit off! I wanted to elongate my petite legs, which I think has been a clever illusion, as well as the wonderful skills of my photographer. For accessories, I only ever had multiple, dainty gold necklaces in mind. I thought the gold against the white t-shirt and cobalt blue skirt would look good together.
