Now it's officially Spring, I wanted to do a blog post showcasing some essential items for the fashion forward Spring wardrobe. This Spring, I'm thinking fresh pastel colours, crisp white shirts, florals and off course the start of Spring footwear, which I am absolutely delighted about as I'm sick of wearing Winter boots and Converse (it's been a long AW).

I've long been a fan of the classic white shirt, but I think it's even more perfect in the Spring months. It's hard deciding what to wear when making that transition from Winter to Spring, just when the weather is starting to slightly warm up, but it's still not warm enough to expose a bear arm (goosebumps alert!). There's so many twists on the classic white shirt, from floral embroidery to ruffled arms and fancy collars. I think every Spring wardrobe should have a plain white loose-fitting shirt, to be tucked into high waisted black skinny jeans or a pleated midi skirt. I particularly love this Zara beauty, which comes in white and khaki.

I am all about a sandal for Spring. There are currently so many nice pairs on the highstreet, so I've included a few different ones in this post. I love a simple tan pair, like these from New Look at a bargain £17.99! I think a plain tan pair are definitely an essential, which will go with pretty much everything - skinny jeans, shorts, dresses, skirts etc.

Florals are also massive this Spring and they're literally everywhere, from jeans, shirts to sandals (yay!). I love this pair of embroidered sliders from ASOS.  I really love the overall simple design, together with the detail of the colourful embroidery. These are great to help transform a simple Spring outfit into something a little bit more.

The Denim crop is also another firm essential for the Spring wardrobe. I think that transition from Winter to Spring is a little unknown, in the sense that it's just starting to warm up, but not quite there yet! So I think a light jacket/layering is always needed to keep warm in the lingering breeze. I love this one from ASOS. The pastel green colour is soft, yet still bright enough to make a statement. I love that it's slightly oversized and would go with almost anything. I absolutely love the outfit that has been put together on the ASOS site with this jacket. Super casual and super Spring.
