Usually, I'm not the biggest fan of ladies blazer type jackets. When I think of a blazer - dated, unnecessary office attire comes to mind, which is usually dull in the form of black or perhaps even pinstripe (if you're pushing the boat out!). However, in recent fashion years, I have noticed an array of somewhat fashionable blazer type jackets available on the high street. I'm talking bright colours, cropped style, as well as embroidered.
In particular, this colourful delight from my favourite online fashion retailer, ASOS. This particular jacket is from the ASOS Petite range, meaning the length is a dream for my petite height. I love the print. The bold teal, infused with Japanese inspired floral prints has won me over! I also love the soft satin material, which allows for the jacket/blazer to hang very loosely, yet elegantly. Yes for ASOS Petite.
Just because I'm all for this blazer/jacket, doesn't mean I want dull 'corporate' additions to ruin the rest of the outfit. To me, this blazer/jacket is the focus of the entire outfit, so I wanted to dress it up in a cool way! In July 2016, I saw Queen B in concert and rightly so, I treat myself to an official Beyonce t-shirt. I wanted to keep the rest of the outfit fairly minimal, hence a white printed Beyonce t-shirt and Topshop Petite black culottes. The print on the blazer, complimented by the blue heels, has set the outfit off which I am very happy about!
