My Top 5 Autumnal Nail & Lip Colours

For this post, I wanted to share with you my top 5 Autumnal nail and lip colours. I’m thinking deep reds, pinky purples, greys and blacks hues. During the Autumn months, it’s so easy to get away with wearing darker colours, mixed with great fashion pieces. There are hundreds of gorgeous Autumnal colours available on the high street, so you have no excuse not to go dark!

All statements and recommendations are purely my own opinion. I have not been paid to feature or advertise any product, brand or service in this post.

Top 5 Autumnal Lip Colours:

Bobbi Brown – Rum Raisin

Probably one of my favourite lipsticks. Very moisturising on the lip. The colour is great for everyday wear and perfect for Autumn! I would describe the colour as a ‘non-red, pinky brown’ – if that makes sense?! Sure the picture speaks for itself!

Revlon Colorburst – Sultry Sulfureuse

I think this is a great high street buy. It was bought for a couple of quid from Boots. The colour is so pigmented and stays on all day (great if you haven’t got time to be retouching your lipstick!). It is a matte balm in a dark pink. Great colour for the Autumn days!

Mac – Chili

Love this colour! Really brightens up the face, whilst not being a too ‘overbearing’ red. It appears to have subtle hints of brown in it – giving off a much darker shade of red. It’s another matte texture, meaning it stays put throughout the day, without a glossy shimmer. However, you definitely have to make sure your lips are exfoliated and in good condition before applying!

Mac – Rebel

One of my favourite colours from Mac. I just instantly feel different and more fabulous when I’m wearing this colour! It’s one of those colours, which is JUST before the super dark purple/plum shade (which I know takes some guts to pull off!). It’s still quite pinky, but mixed with purple – giving off the most gorgeous deep purple/pink shade! Hard to explain, but I always feel it transforms my whole make up look.

NARS – Volga ↑

THIS is the shade which is a super dark purple and takes some guts to pull off! It’s another matte texture, yet glides on so effortlessly. I instantly know it’s Autumn when I whip out this beauty! Great for A/W evenings out, easily transforming an outfit.

Rimmel 60 seconds super shine – Black Out

Nice and easy – pure black. Great from Halloween time onwards. Dries instantly so no need to wait about. Like neon, I absolutely love black! No nail collection would be complete without a plain black for A/W.

Barry M – Grey ↑

Grey is understated yet creates quite an impact. I like this particular grey as it’s just in the middle of a light and super dark grey. Really easy to apply and good to go! I always feel it’s a good colour for this time of the year!

Barry M – Raspberry

I think it’s THE nail law to have a deep red/berry/crimson in your collection for the Autumn/Winter time of the year. If you don’t, well you NEED to go invest in a good quality shade! It is a timeless classic and can really make all the difference to your outfit.

Nails Inc – Jermyn Street

I love this colour as I think it’s something a bit different. Everything about it screams Autumnal. It’s that kind of colour which plays it safe, in terms of not being too dark and ‘typical’. It goes with pretty much anything and again is easy to apply, as are all Nails Inc polishes.

OPI – Tease-y Does It

This is a lovely dark purple-brown shade, with a subtle shimmer infused into it. It’s quite vampy – great for this season! Always reminds me of Autumn time as it’s quite a rustic colour. I love the shimmer in it, makes it a little different from generic solid colours.
