December is upon us and there are a few products that I'm currently obsessing over, which I will share in this beauty post. As it's the official Christmas month and absolutely freezing, I wanted to review some skincare products to help protect the skin from the harsh cold, as well as my current favourite beauty buys.

The products I will be reviewing today are:

Bobbi Brown Extra Repair Eye Cream

Like mentioned in a previous blog post (#Beauty1) I am a huge fan of eye creams. They are an essential part of my beauty regime and I literally would be lost without a good quality product. I suffer from slight eczema around my eyes, especially around this time of the year when the weather is cold and harsh which flares it up. Therefore, an eye cream is highly essential, to ensure my eye area is kept protected and moisturised. I recently came across this eye cream by Bobbi Brown. It is literally a miracle in a pot. I use it daily, twice a day, once in the morning and evening. As a result, any signs of eczema or dryness are suddenly banished! The cream is rich and super-concentrated, which helps boost moisture levels. Once the product has absorbed into my skin, it acts as a good primer for concealer to be applied. The eye cream is slightly pricey for the amount you receive, however I would say it is very much worth it! I love Bobbi Brown products and this is certainly a wonderful product which proves just why! Bobbi Brown Extra Repair Eye Cream retails around £44 for 15ml.

Laura Mercier Foundation Primer

Prior to using this product, I was never a fan of primers in general. I never truly understood exactly what a primer was and what purpose they served. After doing some research, I came across this foundation primer by Laura Mercier. I'm not big on wearing foundation during the Spring/Summer months. However, come Autumn/Winter I feel skin can become a little dry and pasty (yes even Asian skin believe it or not!). Therefore I tend to wear a little foundation - purely to look alive! In previous Winters, I have always felt something was missing with my make up regime when it came to applying foundation - lack of a good quality primer! Using this Laura Mercier foundation primer not only helps my foundation sit better on my skin, I also feel it helps protect my skin from the harsh cold, by adding an extra layer of protection in addition to moisturiser. Overall, the primer is a good quality product with a silky finish, which also smells very fresh. The Laura Mercier Foundation Primer retails from around £29.

NARS Blush - Orgasm

I first heard about Orgasm blush back in 2010, when Drake was rapping about it on Fancy. I know there was massive hype around this particular blush when it was first launched. However, I only just realised how truly stunning the colour is. It's super shimmery which appears as dewy on the skin, whilst incorporating a dual medium pink with infusions of warm gold. Once applied, it looks like a highlighter has also been added due to the sheen - what a clever product! You can build up the colour intensity which makes it good for day and night. Perfect for the Christmas season, especially with the golden shimmer. NARS Blush in Orgasm retails from £23.00.

Butter London Nail Lacquer

I have recently published a blog post on Autumnal nail colours, featuring dark shades. However, as we are now in December and it's officially Christmas time, I felt I needed a new colour which reflected just that... Hello Butter London! I researched many brands for the perfect Christmas colour. It was pretty unsuccessful until I came across 'British Racing Green' by Butter London. I can only describe it as Christmas in a pot. The colour is a stunning deep green, with plenty of shimmer and sparkle - adding to that festive feeling. It's perfect for this time of the year and I always receive compliments when I have it on. When I think of Christmas, I definitely think of this colour for my nails. Butter London nail lacquers retail from around £12.
